Yili Group has opened the largest Global Smart Manufacturing Industrial Park and Health Valley in the world in Hohhot, China, which will produce liquid milk and powder, including the Chilechuan Ecological Intelligent Pasture and the Yili Intelligent Manufacturing Experience Centre.

According to the firm’s press release, the group aims to establish an area that serves as a global hub for the dairy and health industries, using world-class intelligent equipment and technologies.

The liquid milk production base – an investment of RMB five billion ($738.5 million) – has a production capacity of 6,500 tons of fresh milk a day, while the powdered milk production base had an investment of RMB 3 billion ($443,2 million) and an annual production capacity of 60,000 tons.

The Chilechuan Ecological Intelligent Pasture had an investment of RMB 700 million ($103.6 million) and the Yili Intelligent Manufacturing Experience Center enables high technological industrial tours to learn more about the dairy production.

The hub is expected to generate greater ecological, social, and economic benefits by 2035, create job opportunities for more than 350,000 people, and attract a total of one million people to live in the region.
