Yili Group has opened the Global Smart Manufacturing Industrial Park and Health Valley in the world in Hohhot, China, including the Chilechuan Ecological Intelligent Pasture and the Yili Intelligent Manufacturing Experience Centre, to produce both liquid and powder milk.
According to a company press release, the group aims to establish an area that will serve as a global hub for the dairy and health industries, using world-class intelligent equipment and technologies.
The liquid milk production base is the result of a 5 billion CNY ($738.5 million) investment and has a production capacity of 6,500 tons of fresh milk a day, while the 3 billion CNY ($443.2 million) powdered milk production base has an annual production capacity of 60,000 tons.
The Yili Intelligent Manufacturing Experience Center enables high-tech industrial tours to learn more about dairy production.
The hub is expected to generate new ecological and economic benefits by 2035 and create job opportunities for more than 350,000 people.
