Chinese dairy company Yili, in partnership with packaging firm SIG Combibloc, has launched a new UHT yoghurt drink under the Baoquzhu brand that contains alginate balls filled with juice that are said to burst in the mouth when chewed.

Head of marketing Asia Pacific North at SIG Combibloc Eric Ding said: “The local market is invigorated by new product developments that offer added value for consumers – for example, with new taste experiences. That’s why we believe the combination of yoghurt and fruit in the form of small balls fits ideally with the joy of experimentation and curiosity typical of teenagers”.

Boaquzhu UHT Yoghurt Drink is available in both Apple and Strawberry flavours and comes in 250ml cartons.
