US-based Romana Food Brands, formerly known as Blackbird International, has acquired Canada-based pasta maker Pasta Romana for an undisclosed amount.
Through the operation, Romana Food Brands said it was shifting its business to focus on the $98 billion Canadian food processing sector.
Founded in 1996, Pasta Romana manufactures products such as fresh pasta, fresh filled pasta, sauces and pestos, with current production capacity of 2,000kg of pasta and 1,000 litres of sauces per hour.
