Coca-Cola Canada Bottling, the Canadian bottler of carbonated soft drinks, bottled water, energy drinks, ice teas and related products, has announced the opening of a new facility in Richmond, British Columbia.
According to a report in Canadian Grocer, the $18 million facility contains a sales department, warehouse and distribution centre.
Spread over 230 sq ft, the plant is the company’s largest in Canada and its distribution centre will reportedly to be able to move 100,000 cases per day.
The new facility, which currently employs 250 staff, is part of a larger investment of $42 million in Richmond that involves consolidating multiple locations into one.
The facility is able to supply beverages to all seven of the company’s distribution centres in British Columbia and Western Canada.
