Coca-Cola Canada Bottling, the independent beverage manufacturer and distributor, has announced a C$141 million ($102.9 million) investment to renovate and expand its flagship facility in Brampton, Ontario.

The project involves the installation of a new state-of-the-art production line intended to increase the site’s capacity by 20 million cases per year. According to the company, the “technology-enabled” expansion is designed to increase manufacturing flexibility and accelerate the rollout of new product innovations. The facility currently employs over 1,300 staff and serves more than 7,000 customers across Ontario and eastern Canada.

Commenting on the development, Coca-Cola Canada Bottling CEO Todd Parsons said: “The new line will enable us to produce millions more beverages in cans and get innovation to market faster. We’re very pleased to bring this leading-edge technology to our Brampton facility, enabling us to be more agile as we grow”.

This latest capital commitment follows a C$8 million ($5.8 million) investment in the firm’s Hamilton distribution centre last year and the opening of a new facility in Richmond in 2024. Since becoming a family-owned business in 2018, the company has reportedly invested more than C$230 million ($167.8 million) into its Brampton operations.
