Australia: Carman’s acquires Fruit Wise

Australian cereal and snacks producer Carman’s has announced the acquisition of family-owned snacks and breakfast foods producer Fruit Wise.

According to a statement released by Carman’s, the companies share their outlook on healthy snacks and the purchase comes after one year of discussions.

Commenting on the acquisition, Bridget Beal, managing director of Fruit Wise said: “We’ve been family owned for 15 years, so wanted to make sure we were passing over the reins to someone just like Carolyn [Carman’s founder Carolyn Creswell], who shared the same outlook about delicious and healthy snacking and looking after Aussie families. We can’t wait to watch Fruit Wise grow under the care of Carman’s!”.

Fruit Wise will continue to operate from its current location in the Adelaide Hills. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
