US craft brewer New Belgium Brewing has announced that the company has reached an agreement to purchase a manufacturing brewery in Daleville (VA) that is currently owned by Constellation Brands.
In a press release, New Belgium Brewing claimed additional product capacity was needed to meet growing demand for its craft beer, which includes America’s number one IPA brand Voodoo Ranger. The agreement guarantees the employment of all plant employees, the company said.
The companies also agreed that New Belgium Brewing would manufacture select Constellation Brands products at the Daleville facility.
Commenting on the deal, New Belgium Brewing CEO Steve Fechheimer said: “For a company growing as fast as New Belgium, there’s no challenge more urgent than boosting our ability to make enough beer to meet growing demand. We’re excited to join the Daleville community, and we’re confident this facility and its local team will help us fuel our growth for the foreseeable future”.
“We greatly appreciate the partnership we’ve seen from distributors and retailers over the past several months as we’ve worked to find a solution”, he added.
The deal is expected to close in early May.
