Hispanic food business V&V Supremo Foods has announced the acquisition of family-owned cheese producer Mill Creek Cheese.
V&V Supremo Foods was founded in 1964 and produces Mexican cheese, crema and chorizo, and owns the Chihuahua quesadilla cheese brand. Founded in 1891, Mill Creek Cheese is described as the oldest family-owned cheese plant in Iowa County, Wisconsin.
V&V Supremo Foods said it planned to use the deal to boost production and strengthen its product portfolio.
“This acquisition is a very important step in our growth strategy”, said Gilberto Villaseñor II, chief visionary officer of V&V Supremo Foods. “It will help us meet the growing demand for our products and expand our presence in key markets”.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
