Hispanic food business V&V Supremo Foods, Inc. announced the acquisition of family-owned cheese producer Mill Creek Cheese.
V&V Supremo Foods was founded in 1964 and produces authentic Mexican cheese, crema, chorizo, and owns Chihuahua brand quesadilla cheese brand.
Mill Creek Cheese, founded in 1891, is the oldest family-owned cheese plant in Iowa, Wisconsin.
According to sources, with this investment, V&V Supremo will help to increase the production of its products and strengthen its product portfolio.
“This acquisition is a very important step in our growth strategy. It will help us meet the growing demand for our products and expand our presence in key markets,” said Gilberto Villaseñor II, chief visionary officer of V&V Supremo Foods, Inc.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
