Brazilian food manufacturer M. Dias Branco has agreed to acquire the Brazilian division Jasmine Alimentos of French dietary food specialist Nutrition & Santé.
Jasmine Alimentos, based in the Parana state, is a producer of organic, vegetarian, gluten-free, and zero-sugar ranges of health foods such as breakfast cereals, seed mixes, burgers, bread, and, like M. Dias Branco, also produces biscuits, and crackers.
According to sources, in the 2021 financial year, M. Dias Branco held a 32.5% market share of Brazilian cookies and crackers and 30% in pasta.
“In addition to entering new segments, this acquisition reinforces M. Dias Branco’s commercial strategy of profitable growth, including in its portfolio high-growth potential and value-added products”, said M. Dias Branco.
This acquisition will be facilitated through Latinex International Import and Export, a Brazilian snack, seasonings, and sauces maker acquired by M. Dias Branco in 2021.
The terms of the transaction weren’t disclosed.
