US based specialised growth venture fund Stage has announced the acquisition of Haystack Mountain Creamery, a cheese maker from Longmont, Colorado, USA.
According to the venture fund’s press release, Haystack specialises in goat and cow milk cheeses, and the company has won a total of 80 awards including Best American Cheese Award in 2017 and 2018 from the Guild of Fine Foods.
Chuck Hellmer, president of Haystack Mountain Creamery, said: “The opportunity to join Stage is outstanding, with our diverse and unique offerings of goat and cow’s milk cheeses, Stage will bring a new element in growing our brand and presence within local and regional markets”.
Krista Morgan, general partner at Stage, said: “We could not be more delighted to bring Haystack into our portfolio. Supply chain issues during COVID-19 took a toll across the country but Haystack is well-equipped for a new season of growth and expansion”.
The move will allow Haystack to expand its reach nationally, maintaining the highest level of quality standards.
