North American company, Riviana Foods, has announced an investment of $15 million in the expansion and improvement of its Memphis rice facility.
The investment will be used to renovate and update the existing processing lines, controls, and rice transfer system. The improvements will increase reliability, volume output, productivity, and efficiency, according to sources.
“This is an exciting time for Riviana and our employees as we continue to improve our operations to meet or exceed customer needs in the years to come,” said Enrique Zaragoza, president, and chief executive officer of Riviana. “In addition, we look forward to many more years of successful partnership between Riviana and the community.”
Riviana Foods is a marketer and distributor of branded and private label rice products owning, among others, brands such as Minute, Success, Carolina, Mahatma, Comet, Blue Ribbon, and Tilda.
