American international food corporation, Tyson foods has invested $425 million in a new poultry complex in Tennessee.
Located in Gibson County, the 370,000 square foot facility includes a processing plant, feed mill, and hatchery, and it will produce pre-packaged trays of fresh chicken for retail grocery stores. The facility is expected to employ more than 1,500 employees by 2023.
Donnie King, chief operating officer and group president at Tyson Foods said: “The demand for Tyson chicken products continues to grow and this plant will help us meet the needs of our customers and consumers.”
