Brazilian firm Pastificio Selmi has announced the acquisition of Todeschini, a brand of pasta and biscuits.
The Todeschini brand joins the company’s portfolio that includes the brands Renata and Galo, ensuring Selmi’s second place in the Brazilian pasta market.
“Like Selmi, Todeschini has the DNA of a family history and focuses on the quality of its products. This step taken with the acquisition of the brand further reinforces the company’s commitment to being a reference in the pasta and biscuits market in Brazil,” said Marcelo Guimarães, commercial director at Selmi.
The brand will undergo a reconstruction process that involves brand research, logo redesign, social media entry and the strengthening of its presence in the regions of consumption. The company also plans to launch an exclusive platform with recipes using Todeschini products.
The transaction’s value has not been disclosed.
