Brazilian firm Maricota Alimentos has announced that it has invested BRL$ 50 million ($9 million) in a new factory and estimates its sales to double by 2025.
According to Newtrade, the new industrial headquarters will have 15000 sq. meters and the Minas Gerais region was strategically chosen, since it is close to the suppliers of dairy products, eggs, among others.
The new plant will have a larger production capacity of up to 60,000 tons per year since currently, the firm has a production capacity is 18,000 tons per year. For this reason, the company will introduce new lines, such as fresh pasta, breaded food, burgers, among others.
In addition, the firm plans to increase the number of employees, expecting to go from 400 to 700 employees. Maricota also expects to double its revenue by 2025, reaching BRL$ 500 million ($96 million).
The new factory will be located in Luz, Minas Gerais, and is expected to open by 2022.
