Global potato company McCain has announced a $200 million investment to construct a second potato processing facility in China.
In a statement, the company said the development comes as the company intends to meet the growing demand for its potato products in China, building on its 25 year presence in the country.
The new potato processing plant will be located in Yangling Agriculture Hi-Tech Development Zone, Shaanxi Province and will expand McCain’s local network in China by increasing capacity and specialising production capability working closely with local farmers.
Globally, McCain operates in 160 countries across the world, with 51 facilities located in local markets.
