Confectionery wholesaler B.A.Sweetie Candy Company has acquired Campbell’s Sweets Factory, a popcorn and sweets maker, according to a FoodBev report.
According to sources, the Ohio- based wholesaler bought all the assets of Campbell’s Sweets Factory, which include the popcorn kitchen, bakery, and retail locations. The firm’s co-owners will become the managers of the new Sweeties Campbell’s Popcorn Company.
Tom Scheiman, president of B.A.Sweetie Candy Company, said: “We’re proud to add the Campbell’s products to our existing offerings and are excited to increase the distribution of the popcorn items to our existing wholesale customers”.
Jeff Campbell, co-owner of Campbell’s Sweets Factory, said: “We’re excited to have the support and expertise of B.A.Sweetie to grow the Campbell’s brands and are confident more North East Ohio consumers will be pleased with enjoying our delicious products”.
The monetary value of the transaction was not disclosed.
