France: PAI Partners announces three European acquisitions

European private equity firm PAI Partners has announced the acquisition of the UK chilled food businesses Addo Food Group and Winterbotham Darby, as well as the Spanish fish solution company Angulas Aguinaga.

Addo Food Group (Addo) is described as a chilled savoury pastry producer, while Winterbotham Darby supplies foods such as olives, antipasti, continental meats, brioche, and pasta. Meanwhile Angulas Aguinaga is described as a leader in modern fish and fish-based ready meal solutions, which has brands such as La Gula del Norte, Krissia, and Aguinamar.

According to a press release, PAI Partners is bringing together the two UK businesses under one platform in order that both the Addo Food Group and Winterbotham Darby teams can benefit from the sharing of best-practices, as well as NPD and supply chain initiatives.

The completion of the transactions is subject to customary regulatory approvals.
