UK-based vegan producer Gosh! Food has announced its plans to invest £5 million to build its second production site in the country.
The new 17,000 sq ft factory is expected to be opened in 2021 creating 25 new jobs.
According to sources, the new site will allow the company to meet the current demand for plant-based food and expand its offering into new categories.
Jane Rayner, Gosh! Food CEO said: “We strongly believe that food should be as natural as possible and have a brand that prides itself on offering high-quality, great tasting and perfectly natural products. With 45% of grocery shoppers either following or considering a plant-based diet, demand for plant-based products has grown significantly”.
“We look forward to being able to continue to grow our capacity to meet demand and support retailers in improving the way we eat”, added Rayner.
