Kofola, a Czech-based beverage company, has announced the acquisition of two mineral water brands, Karlovarska Korunní and Ondrasovka for an undisclosed sum.
This deal happens after the approval of the Czech Office for the Protection of Competition.
Both Karlovarska Korunni and Ondrasovka are mineral water brands with a rich history and tradition in the Czech Republic, and according to Kofola this acquisition will strengthen its position in the category of bottled water on that market.
Kofola will take over the distribution network, liabilities, receivables, as well as all employees of the two brands.
Daniel Burys, CEO of Kofola, said: “This acquisition will fundamentally help us remain competitive on the market. For example, this addition to our portfolio will help us in our further growth in the food and drink services segment, but the Saratica brand also opens our way to pharmacies”.
