Futura Foods, the UK-based dairy company, has announced the opening of a new cheese cutting and packaging factory in Minffordd, Wales.
The new 5,574 sq metre factory acquired in October 2019, will have the capability to produce 20,000 tons of cheese per year, creating 22 jobs and increasing the company’s operations.
Hans Christiansen, managing director of Futura Foods, said: “I am immensely proud of the team who have worked extremely hard at this challenging time to achieve this in a short space of time. Customer response to our plans has been extremely positive, we are delighted with the feedback and with the commitment and enthusiasm shown by our team in North Wales”.
He added, “The new UK site will complement our existing strength in supplying an extensive range of continental dairy products, including feta, halloumi, and Italian cheeses, and extend our product offer, as we now can format cheddar, mozzarella, and UK territorials as well”.
