Australia: SPC to sell IXL and Taylor’s brands to Kyabram Conserves

Australian fruit and vegetable cannery SPC, part of the Coca-Cola Amatil group, has sold the IXL jam and Taylor’s marinade and sauces brands to Kyabram Conserves. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.

According to a company statement, Kyabram Conserves will continue to produce IXL and Taylor’s products from the site in Kyabram.

“IXL and Taylor’s are great brands, but the Spreads and Sauces/Marinades categories were a small part of the SPC portfolio and it was better we focused on areas where we have a more distinct competitive advantage”, commented SPC manging director Red Weine. “We welcome the commitments from the new owners for continued local production and jobs, and a continued focus on delighting Australians with this world-class range of jams, sauces and marinades”.
