Carlsberg Group, one of the leading global brewers, has announced its plan to invest up to EUR 100m ($117m) to upgrade its Kronenbourg brewery in Obernai, France.
The announcement has been done during the visit of the French President’s to New Carlsberg Glyptotek.
“Today, Carlsberg’s rich heritage and close ties to France are perfectly united with our ambitions to invest further in our successful French business,” said Carlsberg CEO, Cees’t Hart.
Kronenbourg was acquired in 2008 by Carlsberg Group, been today the leading French brewer with French beer brands such as Kronenbourg, 1664, 1664 Blanc and Tourtel Twist (Alcohol Free).
