Western Smokehouse Partners, the Illinois-based meat snacks manufacturer, has acquired Junior’s Smokehouse Processing, a Texas-based producer of jerky and smoked sausages, for an undisclosed sum.
The transaction adds a manufacturing facility in El Campo, Texas, to Western Smokehouse’s existing network, which includes plants in Missouri, Illinois, Iowa and Idaho. The company also announced plans to construct a second facility in El Campo, with work expected to begin in the first quarter of 2026. The expansion is projected to boost the group’s total processing capacity to approximately 160 million pounds annually by the end of 2026.
Matt Bormann, CEO of Western Smokehouse Partners, commented: “Junior’s Smokehouse has built an incredible legacy rooted in quality, craftsmanship, and care for their people. These values strongly align with who we are at Western Smokehouse Partners […] The deal expands our national footprint and enhances our ability to serve customers with diverse product capabilities”.
Junior’s Smokehouse, founded in 1985, specializes in private-label manufacturing, a core strength that Western Smokehouse identified as a key strategic fit. Junior’s CEO Scott Chambers stated that the partnership marks an “exciting new chapter” for the team.
The acquisition follows the return of Western Smokehouse to the ownership of Monogram Capital Partners in July 2025, after Monogram bought out AUA Private Equity’s majority stake.
