Henkel, the German consumer goods giant, has completed the acquisition of premium hair care brand Olaplex. Following the fulfilment of all closing conditions and required regulatory approvals, the brand is now fully part of Henkel’s consumer brands business.
Olaplex is a premium channel hair care brand with a science-led portfolio spanning professional hair care community channels, specialty retail and e-commerce. In the fiscal year 2025, Olaplex generated approximately €370 million ($395 million) in sales with a strong gross margin, split between the USA and international markets.
Commenting on the acquisition, Henkel CEO Carsten Knobel stated: “The successful closing of the Olaplex acquisition marks an important milestone in the execution of our purposeful growth agenda. After having streamlined our portfolio over the past years, we are now adding back size and scale”.
