21st Amendment, a leading San Francisco craft brewer, has announced it is to close after 25 years of operation.
According to reports, the company plans to slowly wind down operations at its San Leonardo production facility over the next two months with the goal of closing completely by early November.
21st Amendment is described as having faced challenges including shifting consumer preferences, rising competition, and the sudden withdrawal of support from a key lender.
The news comes after founders Shaun O’Sullivan and Nico Freccia reportedly announced they would be stepping back from day-to-day operations and bringing in a new CEO.
At its height, 21st Amendment was said to be generating tens of millions of dollars in annual revenue.
