The Compleat Food Group, a diversified UK food business, has announced the acquisition of The Real Yorkshire Pudding Co, a leading supplier of chilled Yorkshire puddings, for an undisclosed sum.
Founded in 1992, The Real Yorkshire Pudding Co is a leading supplier of own-label and branded chilled Yorkshire puddings and toad in the hole, with listings in all major UK retailers. Its turnover is in the order of £33 million ($43 million) and it has reportedly delivered double-digit growth in recent times.
Commenting on the move, The Compleat Food Group CEO Nick Field said: “This partnership is about more than just great products, it’s about bringing together talented teams, shared values, and a culture of excellence to create something truly special. We are looking forward to the future and working with the Real Yorkshire Pudding Co as we continue to grow”.
The Yorkshire Pudding Co managing director Bill Howson added: “Joining The Compleat Food Group marks an exciting new chapter. We’ve built our business on quality, innovation, and a passion for great Yorkshire puddings, and Compleat is the perfect partner to help us in the next stage of our growth journey”.
Founded in 2021 and backed by European private equity firm PAI Partners, The Compleat Food Group owns well-known brands including Pork Farms, Wall’s Pastry and Squeaky Bean, and maintains a strong market presence in sectors such as savoury pastry, Mediterranean deli and plant-based foods.
