Boots, the UK health and beauty retailer, has introduced a new healthy on-the-go food range called Boost by Boots, designed to offer nutritionally balanced options at lunchtime, specifically targeting GLP-1 users.
The new range of 15 products, including sandwiches, salads and sushi, is available as part of the Boots meal deal range.
The product rollout follows research conducted by Boots Online Doctor among 1,000 GLP-1 users, which highlighted the challenges of meeting dietary needs on the go. The study revealed that 70% of GLP-1 users purchase food on the go at least twice a week, with high protein and lower calorie options being key considerations.
The range was crafted with support from the company’s in-house nutrition team to offer protein and fibre focused options alongside controlled calories, fat, saturated fat and salt. Boots Nutritionist Vicky Pennington stated: “All products are a source of or high in protein or fibre making them a great option for the growing number of GLP-1 users, including our Boots Online Doctor weight loss patients”.
The new items include varieties such as a Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, a Butter Chicken Wrap, an Egg Shakshuka Rainbow Salad and Sweet Chilli Prawn Dragon Rolls.
The rollout follows previous 2026 brand launches by fellow UK retailers Co-op and Morrisons targeting GLP-1 users.
