Gama spoke to Tomasz Dawidowski, Project Manager, ahead of the latest edition of NutraFood Poland.
What are your primary goals and expectations for the 2026 edition of NutraFood Poland?
Our main goal for NutraFood Poland 2026 is to strengthen its position as a leading event for the nutraceutical and functional food industry in Central and Eastern Europe. We aim to create a platform that fosters valuable business connections, showcases innovative products and technologies, and facilitates knowledge exchange among manufacturers, raw material suppliers, experts and distributors. This edition will emphasize networking, innovation and practical insights for the entire industry.
How does the co-location with WorldFood Poland create a strategic advantage for functional food and supplement brands this year?
The co-organization of NutraFood Poland with WorldFood Poland gives functional food and dietary supplement brands a significant strategic advantage. This setup attracts a wider range of professional visitors, from food manufacturers and distributors to retail chains and importers.
There are still few nutraceutical fairs combined with traditional food exhibitions, whereas for us this is a natural and logical connection. The healthy food, supplement and conventional food sectors are increasingly overlapping, making this format ideal for fostering new business relationships and supporting the development of innovative products.

With the NutraFood Poland Gold Medal competition returning, what specific criteria will the jury prioritize when evaluating 2026’s top innovations?
The Gold Medal jury will assess submissions in three categories: dietary supplements, raw materials and technologies & innovations. Key criteria include quality, purposefulness, regulatory compliance, market relevance and innovation. Experts with full industry competence ensure credible evaluation. Additional focus areas are clinical or pilot study evidence for raw materials, patents and novelty for technologies, product labeling and communication for supplements, and ESG aspects such as sustainability and responsible sourcing.
How is the show’s matchmaking program evolving to better connect exhibitors with major retail and pharmacy chains?
NutraFood Poland’s matchmaking program connects exhibitors with key business partners, including retail chains and pharmacies. The B2B meeting system allows pre-scheduled discussions, helping large network representatives meet multiple suppliers efficiently. While matchmaking facilitates initial contact, the majority of business conversations still occur at exhibitors’ booths. The program complements the traditional trade fair model, accelerating connections while enabling deeper relationship-building during direct, in-person interactions throughout the event.
The conference program is a major pillar of the event. How will the Spring Agenda in 2026 address the latest regulatory and technological shifts in the region?
The Spring Agenda 2026 addresses regulatory and technological changes in dietary supplements and functional foods. Day one covers green claims, marketing rules for biotics, pharmacy advertising, EU regulatory updates, novel food, plant-based ingredients, import, inspections, patents and Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) packaging. Day two’s KRSiO conference offers insights into conventional supplements, health-promoting foods, market trends, legal interpretations and marketing guidance. Participants gain practical tools for compliance, innovation and effective B2B and B2C product communication.
