Harry-Brot

German bakery firm Harry-Brot has received approval from Germany’s national competition regulator to acquire Glockenbrot, a subsidiary of the retail group Rewe, as well as the company’s bakery in Bergkirchen, Bavaria. Glockenbrot, which has been owned by Rewe since 1986, operated bakeries in Bergkirchen and Frankfurt. Rewe shut the Frankfurt site before selling Bergkirchen to Harry-Brot.
