Spanish bakery manufacturer Vicky Foods has opened a new production plant in France.
Located in Fragnes-La Loyere, the new facility has been created to supply the French market and neighbouring countries such as Germany, Switzerland, Benelux and Italy.
With a cost exceeding €100 million ($116 million) and an initial area of 23,578 sq m, the project is described as marking a milestone in the company’s growth and consolidation strategy in the European market.
At the moment, a production line dedicated to making hamburger buns is already operational, while a second line, which will produce sliced bread, is in the testing phase. The company plans to open a third line by 2027 dedicated to making pastry products.
“The opening of our factory in France represents much more than the opening of new facilities: it is the result of years of effort, enthusiasm and teamwork, and the beginning of a new stage to continue innovating and generating opportunities, always with sustainability, humility and people at the centre of our strategy”, said Rafael Juan, CEO of Vicky Foods.
