Portuguese agri-food business Grupo Lusiaves has announced the acquisition of the Spanish poultry firm Avicola Segoviana.
According to sources, Avicola Segoviana offers both processed and unprocessed products. It employs more than 60 people and has a turnover of €9.5 million ($11 million).
Avelino Gaspar, president and founder of Grupo Lusiaves, said: “The integration of Avicola Segoviana reinforces our presence in Madrid and increases our capacity to respond to the demands of the Spanish market. But above all, it demonstrates the dynamism and evolution of the Oblanca Group, proof of the solidity of this partnership with the Grupo Lusiaves and the ambition for growth that we are achieving together”.
This operation is said to consolidate the group’s international position and underscore its commitment to growth across the Iberian peninsula.
