Naba Feinkost, the German family-owned delicatessen producer, is set to acquire the organic brand Hedi, a maker of vegan spreads, at the turn of the year.
The deal will expand Naba Feinkost’s portfolio to three brands – Nabio, Reichenhof and now Hedi – strengthening its offer in the specialist organic trade. According to Felicitas von Heinz, Naba’s managing director for brands, Hedi brings “distinctive recipes, strong positioning, high quality and a loyal customer base”.
Naba Feinkost said it would assume production of Hedi’s range during 2026, maintaining existing formulations and packaging, adding that both retail partners and end consumers would continue to be supplied without interruption.
Based in Thuringia, Naba Feinkost has produced organic foods for several decades, including spreads, sauces, soups and stews. The company stated that Hedi will be managed as a stable, long-term brand with scope for further development.
