Froneri, the global ice cream manufacturer, is investing more than €30 million ($32.6 million) in expanding its German headquarters plant in Osnabrück.
The investment will significantly increase production capacity through new facilities scheduled to go into operation for the 2027 ice cream season. The expansion will feature new production lines for private-label ice cream alongside a fully automated production line for Movenpick family packs, which hold market leadership in their segment.
Commenting on the expansion, Froneri German ceo Gotthard Kirchner said: “with this investment, we are sending a clear signal of our commitment to Germany as a business location and creating the foundation to reliably meet the increasing demand from our retail partners in the future”.
Froneri operates more than 30 production plants worldwide, including 20 in Europe and two in Germany, and ranks as the world’s second-largest ice cream manufacturer.
