Fini, the Spanish confectionery giant, has acquired Tri d’Aix, a German firm specialising in the sales and distribution of sweets, for an undisclosed sum.

The transaction involves the acquisition of all business and assets of the Alsdorf-based company and follows more than 30 years of close collaboration between the two businesses. Founded in 1991, Tri d’Aix is a family-owned distributor that employs approximately 40 people and exports a diverse range of confectionery – including its own brands Yummy Yummy, Mellow Mellow, and Sweet Stories – to around 20 European countries.

According to the Spanish group, the acquisition is intended to bolster its commercial reach and leadership in core markets while exploring new international growth opportunities. A Fini spokesperson stated: “Tri d’Aix brings strong local market knowledge, long-standing customer relationships, and commercial expertise in its core markets. The focus is on building on these strengths in a complementary way”.

Following the deal, Tri d’Aix will maintain its existing management team and organisational structure. Fini, based in Murcia, currently employs over 3,600 staff globally and operates in more than 100 countries under its flagship Fini and Dr. Good brands.
