Orkla, the Scandinavian consumer goods giant, has announced plans to close its Skovlund pasta plant, which currently produces goods for the Dragsbaek brand.
In a statement, the company said it intends to move production to a different location. The Skovlund plant has been under Orkla’s ownership and management in recent years, and Dragsbaek has played no role in its operation.
“The closure does not affect Dragsbæk’s own production setup” Orkla said in a statement. “We continue to operate four factories in Jutland, Denmark, and our business remains unchanged. The products previously produced at Skovlund will now be sourced through external partners, which is a natural part of our setup. Fortunately, we have a very flexible and efficient structure in Dragsbæk, enabling us to react quickly when such changes occur”.
