Brazilian sauces and preserves manufacturer Stella d’Oro has announced that the firm has acquired assets from an industrial park that belonged to the French vegetable processor Bonduelle, in Cristalina, Goias.
According to sources, the new facility constitutes Stella d’Oro’s first manufacturing unit in Brazil’s Central-West region.
The move is intended to allow Stella d’Oro to expand its footprint in the processed vegetables sector, complementing its existing product portfolio and national reach. It is the company’s third similar purchase in less than ten years.
Other products in the Stella d’Oro range include tomato puree, table sauces, tinned vegetables, sweets and jellies.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The transaction is subject to approval by the local antitrust authority.
