Cicopal, the Brazilian snacks and drinks manufacturer, is expanding its operations in the state of Minas Gerais with the construction of a new production facility in Uberaba. Representing an investment of R$180 million ($31 million), the 20,000 sq m plant is expected to generate 150 direct jobs and 450 indirect jobs once operational.
The new site will focus on the production of the company’s snack lines, including its flagship brands Micos and Pururuca. Construction is already underway, with the first phase of the project slated for completion in the first half of 2026. According to the company, the strategic location in the Triângulo Mineiro region will allow for more efficient distribution across Minas Gerais and neighbouring states.
Cicopal currently operates three other manufacturing units in Brazil, located in Senador Canedo (Goias), Castanhal (Para), and Maceio (Alagoas). The firm’s portfolio spans more than ten categories, encompassing potato chips, corn snacks, wheat snacks, and refreshments.
