Australian importer and manufacturer Entyce Food Ingredients has announced the acquisition of Naked Rivals, an Australian startup that produces “innovative and sustainable” citrus juice products.
In a press release, Entyce Food Ingredients said Naked Rivals produces freshly squeezed lemon and lime juice, free from pits, peel and preservatives, sold in trays of “cubes” that are each said to contain the juice equivalent of half a lemon or lime.
The brand is focused on sustainability, sourcing ‘ugly’ fruits that might otherwise be wasted.
Gino Vescio, managing director of Entyce Food Ingredients, commented: “This acquisition aligns with our vision of delivering premium, sustainable food solutions to our multinational customers. We look forward to building on Naked Rivals’ success and exploring new opportunities for innovation in the frozen fruit and vegetable juices and savoury stock categories in due course”
