Belle Brands, a platform company formed by consumer-focused private investment firm Windsong Global, has acquired Vegamour, a US-based biotech-powered hair care business.
Vegamour was founded in 2016. Its brand portfolio joins Belle Brands’ growing suite of beauty businesses, which includes JVN Hair, Pipette, KVD Beauty and Versed. Vegamour’s flagship products include GRO Hair Serum, designed to reduce hair shedding and support thicker, fuller-looking hair over time, and GRO Revitalizing Shampoo, formulated to wash away dirt and oil without stripping the hair’s natural moisture or colour.
The acquisition follows Vegamour securing $80 million in funding from growth equity firm General Atlantic in 2021. In May 2022, the business scaled its physical retail footprint by launching nationwide into more than 400 Sephora stores across the US alongside an international expansion into the UK, Europe and Australia.
Belle Brands Global President Teresa Lo stated: “Brands with a clinically-backed approach to product development, a deeply passionate community, and a focus on accessibility are the kind of brands Belle Brands looks for when it comes to building out our portfolio. Vegamour has all of those attributes and more”.
