Park & Bellheimer, the German regional brewing company, is set to acquire the brand business of Eichbaum, the German regional brewery, via a wholly-owned subsidiary as of 1st October 2026.

The deal follows approval from Eichbaum’s creditors’ committee on 8th September. Eichbaum, which entered self-administration in autumn 2025, initiated an operational closure for 30th September 2026 after no restructuring solutions with prospective investors proved feasible.

Under the agreement, the brand business will be consolidated into Mannheim-based Eichbaum-Vertriebs GmbH. Eichbaum’s core product portfolio will remain available across gastronomy, wholesale, and food retail channels, supplemented by Park & Bellheimer’s Valentins Bierspezialitaten wheat beer brand alongside its Bellaris mineral water and soft drinks portfolio.

Eichbaum general plenipotentiary Christoph Glatt commented: “I am pleased that with Park & Bellheimer a regional partner could be found who wishes to preserve the Eichbaum brand in the long term”.

Park & Bellheimer also announced plans to build a capacity-adjusted brewery on Kafertalerstraße near the existing Eichbaum brewery.
