Fulton Brewing, the US craft brewer, has announced the acquisition of fellow Minnesota-based producer Bemidji Brewing for an undisclosed sum.
Effective from 31st October, the deal builds on a production partnership that began roughly three years ago, allowing Bemidji Brewing to expand production beyond its city centre facility and grow distribution into Duluth and the North Shore. Following the acquisition, Bemidji Brewing joins Fulton Brewing, Finnegans and N*RC Sparkling THC Waters in the portfolio of True North Beverage, a new Minnesota-based collective designed to give locally rooted craft brands shared resources for growth.
Under the new collective, Bemidji Brewing will retain its city centre taproom while receiving expanded production, sales, marketing, distribution and administrative support to drive broader availability across Minnesota, including the Twin Cities.
Commenting on the launch, Fulton Brewing and True North Beverage chief executive officer Ryan Petz said: “This isn’t about reinventing beloved brands. It’s about pairing strong brands with the infrastructure they need to reach their potential”.
