Cobblestone Brands, the Dublin-based company, has agreed to acquire Bisquit & Dubouche Cognac and Cabo Wabo Tequila from Italian drinks producer Campari Group.
Financial terms of both acquisitions were not disclosed, with the deal expected to be completed by 31st October 2026. Cabo Wabo is distributed in more than 20 US states.
The brand was co-founded in 1996 by former Van Halen vocalist Sammy Hagar, who sold an 80% stake in the brand to Campari Group in 2007 for $80 million, relinquishing the remaining stake in 2010. Founded by 1819, Bisquit & Dubouche has an established international footprint across Europe, Asia Pacific and global travel retail, as well as a strong base in South Africa.
Commenting on the acquisitions, Brian Fagan, ceo and founder of Cobblestone Brands, said: “we have spent the past several years building a best-in-class route-to-market platform which will allow us to take great, but previously less-priority brands, and give them the investment, focus and commercial firepower they deserve. Bisquit & Dubouche and Cabo Wabo are exactly the kind of brands we built this platform for”.
