The Nutriment Company (TNC), a European supplier of natural pet food, has expanded its operations through the acquisition of Frostfutter Perleberg, a German premium dog and cat food supplier.
Based in Perleberg in northern Germany, Frostfutter Perleberg specialises in species-appropriate raw feeding (BARF) products, sourcing human-grade meat from regional farms. Operating its own on-site slaughterhouse, the company processes fresh batches of food daily, alongside a portfolio of premium wet food, snacks and supplements. Originally founded in 2004 as K&K Petfood GmbH, the business established the Frostfutter Perleberg brand in 2012 and runs its own online shop.
Commenting on the acquisition in an online statement, TNC said: “Regional sourcing. Transparent production. A genuine passion for species-appropriate nutrition. That’s been Frostfutter Perleberg’s DNA from day one, and it’s ours too”. The company added: “This acquisition brings us closer to even more pet owners in Germany who care deeply about what goes into their pets’ bowls”.
