Adam Foods, the Spanish food group behind brands such as Cuetara and Artiach, has completed the acquisition of Biscoland, the biscuit division of the Moroccan conglomerate Holmarcom Group, for an undisclosed sum.

The transaction includes the ownership of Biscoland’s industrial assets, most notably a 13,000 sq m production facility in Bouskoura, south of Casablanca. The plant, which was originally constructed in 2023, is expected to resume operations in 2026 after a period of adjustment. The acquisition marks a significant step in Adam Foods’ internationalisation strategy, providing a direct manufacturing foothold in North Africa to produce specific biscuit references for the local market and the wider region.

José Manuel Faría, CEO of Adam Foods’ biscuit division, commented: “The acquisition of Biscoland represents a firm step in our international growth strategy. Morocco and North Africa are markets with great potential, and this operation allows us to broaden our horizons, generate synergies and continue building a more global and competitive company”.

The deal is subject to approval by Moroccan competition authorities. Biscoland previously marketed products under brands such as IT and T’Choco.
