Creations Foods, the US-based snack manufacturer known for brands such as HighKey and Moon Cheese, has completed a strategic merger with Get Real Foods, the parent company of the free-from biscuit brand Real Cookies.
The transaction, the financial terms of which were not disclosed, creates a new vertically integrated platform focused on the ‘better-for-you’ snacking segment. By combining Creations Foods’ manufacturing capabilities in the Pacific Northwest with Real Cookies’ brand equity, the new entity aims to accelerate product innovation and expand distribution across North America.
Aki Georgacacos, CEO of Creations Foods, commented: “This merger represents a highly strategic step forward for Creations Foods. We’re excited to combine our vertically integrated platform with Real Cookies’ complementary brand and seasoned leadership, and we see meaningful synergies and a strong runway for continued growth”.
Real Cookies, founded in 2021 by Lauren Berger and Marla Felton, specialises in gluten-free, grain-free and vegan cookies. Under the new structure, Berger will assume the role of vice president of strategy and innovation, while Gregg Felton will join the board of directors.
Lauren Berger added: “Consumers are demanding snacks that align with their lifestyles. This partnership positions us to deliver on that promise with creativity, scale, and authenticity”.
The merger follows a period of consolidation for Creations Foods, which acquired the low-carb snack brand HighKey in early 2024 and Moon Cheese in 2023.
