VE Partners, a Dutch private equity firm, has reached an agreement to acquire all shares of Inproba, the Netherlands-based oriental sauces and spices manufacturer.

Founded in 1956 and headquartered in Baarn, Inproba is described as a leading European producer of private label products, known for its chilli sauces, sambal and ketjap, employing approximately 200 people.

Commenting on the deal, Inproba managing director Jeroen Leinenga said: “With VE Partners we have a partner who respects our independence and enables us to continue to chart our own course. This allows us to remain close to our customers and respond quickly to market developments”.

The transaction is expected to close before the end of January.
