UK: Bidcorp acquires assets from Northern Bloc Ice Cream

Leading UK food and drinks supplier Bidcorp has announced it has acquired the trade and assets of ice cream manufacturer Northern Bloc.

Operating since 2014, Northern Bloc  is described as offering a broad product range including vegan, low sugar and bespoke ice cream

Commenting on the acquisition Jim Gouldie, Bidfood UK supply chain and technical services director, said: “We’re delighted to welcome […] the Northern Bloc team to our Bidcorp UK family. Their passion, ethical ethos and reputation for providing great-tasting products at an excellent service completely resonates with our core mission and values”.

Northern Bloc managing director Dirk Mischendahl added: “We are very excited about joining the Bidcorp UK group and having the opportunity to continue the journey we started in 2014, creating great flavours and making ice cream centre of plate!”.

Northern Bloc will join Bidcorp’s existing portfolio of manufacturing businesses that includes Simply Food Solutions and Yarde Farm.
