Windsong Global, a investment firm focused on consumer brands, has announced the acquisition of the hair care brand JVN and the skincare brand Pipette, under a new holding company called Belle Brands LLC.
JVN, which was created bu hair stylist Jonathan Van Ness, is said to be sustainable and cruelty-free, and has been sold exclusively at Sephora since 2021. Currently, the brand features over a dozen products, including shampoos, conditioners, treatments and stylers, and is available in seven countries.
Founded in 2019, Pipette is claimed to make clean, safe and effective skincare formulas accessible to more families. The line is available at Target, Walmart and other main retailers in the USA and Canada.
Commenting on the transaction, Windsong Global managing partner William Sweedler, said: “As consumer-focused investors, we have followed the success of JVN Hair and Pipette, understanding the growing desire for clean, high-performance formulas in the beauty and personal care space. We believe there is a great opportunity to nurture and grow both brands, their communities, and consumer loyalty”.
