High Ridge Brands, a personal care firm owned by private equity group Brynwood Partners, has announced that it is to sell the global assets and rights to seven of its personal care brands to The Village Company.
The Village Company will add the Soft & Dri, La Bella, Dep, Pure & Natural, Mink Difference, Adorn, and The Dry Look brands to its portfolio, joining existing brands including Mr. Bubble and Sesame Street bubble baths and Village Naturals Therapy and Aromatherapy bath products. In addition to an expanded product range, the acquisition would be a means for The Village Company to strengthen its presence in Canada, where the brands it is purchasing are already present, the company said in a statement.
Paul Norton, CEO of the Village Company, commented: “We look forward to integrating these brands into our organization and are excited about the potential that this acquisition brings to our company. The addition of these well-known items to our product line will increase our value to retail partners and enhance our offering to meet even more consumer needs”.
The terms and conditions of the deal were not disclosed.
