USA: Sunderstorm acquires e-cigarette firm Abide Brands

Sunderstorm, the US consumer cannabis company, has announced the acquisition of Abide Brands, a Nevada-based e-cigarette specialist, for an undisclosed sum.

Abide Brands is the maker of Bounti, which is is described as one of Nevada’s top-selling vape brands It focuses on “artisanal blends” which have reportedly quickly gained a loyal base of “discerning” consumers.

Sunderstorm makes and sells edible products including Kanha, a brand of CBD gummies that is claimed to be differentiated through its precision dosage, all-natural ingredients and zero-pesticide approach.

Commenting on the acquisition, Sunderstorm co-founder and CEO Cameron Clarke said: “By bringing Abide Brands into the fold, we’re adding a new product category and accomplished team members to our expanding Nevada presence. This is the first of more big moves to come”.

Kevin Spence, president and CEO of Abide Brands, added: “Sunderstorm is a great partner for all we want to accomplish with Bounti Vapes. The synergy between our teams will strengthen all we do and position us both for greater success”.
